Presentations from SCSH National Homelessness Conference 2008

Last year’s SCSH National Homelessness Conference took place at the Apex International Hotel (Edinburgh) on 30 and 31 October 2008. As ever our aim was to bring together those working to tackle homelessness in Scotland, and to share information, best practice and to highlight topical issues of concern.

In order to be as environmentally friendly as possible - and to allow for dissemination of information to a wider audience - we have uploaded all presentations from the conference to the website.

Mediation and Homelessness: a half-day information sharing seminar 16 May 2008

Rolling Out Local Housing Allowance Mini Conference

15th February 2008- SCSH offices in Edinburgh

This one day mini-conference, taking place in Edinburgh, will be focused on making practical preparations for the smooth introduction of the new system as well as identifying areas where clarification is still needed from the Department of Work and Pensions. Health and Homelessness Conference

26th September 2007- Edinburgh

This conference provided a unique opportunity for all those with an interest in the health of people affected by homelessness to exchange ideas, make new contacts and, most importantly, drive forward better services.

National Conference on Leaving Home & Housing Education

31st August 2007- Edinburgh

The second National Conference on Leaving Home and Housing Education took place on the 31st August 2007. The event featured workshops, stalls and presentations from SCSH, Shelter, Alone in London and many others. Delegates had the opportunity to discover new ways of delivering housing education including peer education programmes, drama and multi-media resources.

SCSH National Homelessness Conference

The SCSH National Homelessness Conference takes place every year and allows those working to tackle homelessness in Scotland to come together to share information and ideas, discuss issues and challenges and learn about innovative and original practice.
